Conductor Raymond Janssen, together with the International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv, Ukraine and the national choir of Ukraine 'Dumka', will deliver a grand performance of the 'Carmina Burana'. In 2019, 2021 & 2022, this concert series packed houses and broke all records. In the 13th century, itinerant monks and students - in response to the strict and pious ideals of the church - sang about the pleasures of love, drinking and the wandering life. Orff used their Latin and German texts as the basis of his 'Carmina Burana' and was inspired by various musical sources. The result is a powerful and exciting piece of music full of driving rhythms. Partly thanks to the exceptional choir and orchestra, this makes every performance an intense experience. The most famous piece from the Carmina Burana is without a doubt 'O Fortuna'. It has achieved iconic status in 2023 and has been used in dozens of commercials, as a basis for contemporary hits and was used in films such as Excalibur and The Doors. During his performance of the Carmina Burana, conductor Raymond Janssen presents an overwhelming version of this spectacular song that is the highlight of the concert. The character of the music - majestic and imposing - ensures an unforgettable afternoon or evening.

Dirigent Raymond Janssen tekent samen met het International Symphony Orchestra uit het Oekraïense Lviv en het nationale koor van Oekraïne ‘Dumka’ voor een grootse uitvoeringvan de ‘Carmina Burana’. In 2019, 2021 & 2022 trok deze concertreeks volle zalen enverbrak alle records. Niet voor niets behoort de Carmina Burana – mede dankzij hetwereldberoemde ‘O Fortuna’ - tot de meest populaire muziekstukken ter wereld. Meer dan 130 musici voerden het muzikale meesterwerk van componist Carl Orff uit en de publiekebelangstelling was massaal. Wegens het grote succes en de populariteit van deze productie komt er in november 2023 nog één keer een tournee door Nederland.
