A concert where you can sing along – this is the motto under which more than 1,000 amateur singers will be gathering in Bamberg! Together with professionals from the Bavarian Radio Choir and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, they will be performing some of the best-known “earworms” of the choral repertoire.
 The choir’s artistic director, Howard Arman, will be conducting and moderating the concert. The programme will cover a wide range of choral songs and promises to be rich in variety from the very beginning. For months, the amateur singers have practiced at home and studied the song texts in preparation for their big day. Each one of them has their own approach to rehearsing the demanding repertoire, whether at work on the construction site or at home in their living room. This singalong concert is part of this season’s cooperation with the Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Ein Konzert zum Mitsingen: Unter diesem Motto treffen sich über 1 000 Laiensängerin- nen und -sänger in Bamberg. Gemeinsam mit Profis des Chors des Bayerischen Rundfunks und den Bamberger Symphonikern geben sie einige der bekanntesten Chor-Ohrwürmer zum Besten. Der künstlerische Leiter des Chors, Howard Arman leitet und moderiert das Konzert persönlich. Das Programm mit verschiedensten Chorgesängen verspricht von Anfang an ein ab- wechslungsreiches Konzert. Monatelang haben die LaiensängerInnen zu Hause geübt und Lied- texte studiert, um für den großen Tag bestmög- lichst vorbereitet zu sein. Jeder hat seine ganz eigene Herangehensweise, das anspruchsvolle Repertoire einzustudieren: auf der Baustelle oder im heimischen Wohnzimmer. Das Mitsing- Konzert ist Teil unserer Kooperation mit dem Bayerischen Rundfunk in dieser Saison.
