Rare are the lyrical singers who travel with passion through the operatic repertoires from the Baroque to the creation of today while moving with rigor in the genres of Germanic Lied and French melody. Lyonnais Stéphane Degout is one of them. He returns for the Songs of a wandering companion and gives voice to the myth of the Wanderer , celebrated by Schubert and Mahler. Wandering without respite, restless traveler, the Wanderer of Degout carries the pain of our past wounds and the hope – constantly disappointed – of a better horizon.
