DAS DSCHUNGELBUCH - Robert Persché nach Rudyard Kipling - Stadttheater Klagenfurt

The story of little Mowgli, who is raised by wolves in the Indian jungle, has been one of the most popular reading books for young people in world literature for generations. The cartoon by Walt Disney was released in 1967 and continues to delight young and old to this day. The stage adaptation by Robert Persché has everything a really good musical needs for the whole family: a story that is as exciting as it is instructive, groovy music, gorgeous songs to sing along, humorous dialogues and stunningly lovable characters. The director is Igor Pison, who has already enchanted our audience with his production of The Gingerbread Man .

As we know, the jungle is full of dangers. Especially for people and especially for children! Fortunately, the left alone human child Mowgli finds a new loving family and true friends in the wolf pack around the head Akela in the cozy, kind-hearted bear Baloo and in the clever, prudent panther Bagheera. From them Mowgli learns the laws of the jungle and the language of animals. They all protect the brave child and teach them how to best deal with crazy monkeys, cocky vultures, marching elephants or the mysterious Kaa snake. But can they keep Mowgli safe from his greatest enemy, the tiger Shere Khan? Because he fears for his position as ruler of the jungle and does everything in his power to destroy Mowgli ...
