Tobias Theorell directs Dichterliebe - the memory of a love. The work begins with the stanza "How wonderful was not May?" Sweet tones that depict a skyrocketing love but which slowly change to a blacker tone of betrayal and sadness. Not entirely different from the composer Robert Schumann's and his wife Clara's own story.

This is a story of loss: lost youth, lost life and lost love. But also how the memory of love lives on within us in parallel with the painful feeling of what did not happen. About losing each other despite great love and the pain of the unstoppable loss.
