Strauss the son went down in music history primarily as a master of the classical Viennese waltz, but he also gained fame as a creator of operettas. One of the most famous and brilliant of his works in this genre was the operetta "The Bat". It is known that the plot is based on a real case that took place in Paris. The episode inspired the composer so much that it took him only six weeks to write the score.

The operetta "The Bat", loved by many generations of viewers, tells an amazing story about how the hero-womanizer cheats on his own wife ... with her. He got to a masquerade ball, where he began to look after the beauty hiding under the Bat mask, not knowing that it was his wife Rosalind ...
