Эпизод так вдохновил композитора, что ему потребовалось лишь шесть недель, чтобы написать партитуру.

Оперетта «Летучая мышь», любимая многими поколениями зрителей, рассказывает удивительную историю о том, как герой-ловелас изменяет собственной жене... с ней же. Он попал на бал-маскарад, где принялся ухаживать за красавицей, скрывающейся под маской Летучей мыши, не зная, что это его жена Розалинда...

Strauss son entered the history of music, first of all, as a master of the classical Viennese waltz, but he also gained fame as the creator of operettas. One of his most famous and brilliant works in this genre was the operetta The Bat. It is known that the plot is based on a real incident that took place in Paris. The episode inspired the composer so much that it took him only six weeks to write the score.

The operetta "The Bat", beloved by many generations of viewers, tells an amazing story about how the hero-lovelace cheats on his wife ... with her. He got to a masquerade ball, where he began to court the beauty hiding under the mask of the Bat, not knowing that it was his wife Rosalind...
