When Prince Orlofsky invites you to a party, nobody wants to miss it - especially not the costume ball VIENNE APOCALYPSE JOYEUSE 1875: Not Herr von Eisenstein, who was supposed to be imprisoned that evening, not his wife, who won him over with a fiery Csárdás wants to win, not Adele, the prison director Frank and also lawyer Dr. Blind. They are all accomplices in Dr. Falke's grandiose staged revenge on Eisenstein for a gross humiliation that was years ago, but has not been forgotten. And the grandiose music of Johann Strauss mercilessly drives the masquerade of the intriguers forward to the final truth: We all play along
