"The traveling enthusiast apparently separates his inner life from the outside so little that one can hardly distinguish between the two borders." This is how the romantic poet and composer ETA Hoffmann begins his fantasy piece about the adventures of the last night of the year. Let's follow the hero Enthus from Berlin in the early 19th century to New York in the 21st. The New Year's Eve party begins in the illustrious circles of the Minister of the Interior and takes us to the basement pub "Zur Unity" as well as to the large four-poster bed of a hotel or to the swimming pool of the beloved Angie in the middle of Manhattan. A surreal (night)mare, alternating between operetta and profound drama of the soul. Johannes Harneit mixes styles and genres with lust, we are invited to let ourselves be seduced!
