the story
Sarastro, High Priest of Isis and Osiris, kidnapped Pamina, daughter of the Queen of the Night. Tamino, a reckless prince in love with the princess, goes looking for her, accompanied by Papageno the bird catcher. To protect them, the Queen of the Night gives them two talismans against danger: a magic chime and a magic flute... no sooner have the two lovers found each other than they are separated. Desperate, Pamina, already rejected by her mother, must resist the temptation to commit suicide. Then she pulls herself together, and finds Tamino just as he is about to face the ultimate trials. Together, they will emerge victorious. The tale turns into a beautiful love story.

to be academic with the works seems to me contrary to the very nature of Mozartian art. The idea is to get the singers – young singers – to move forward in a natural, lively and loving way in the unfolding of the plot without imposing projections, constructions, videos or sets that turn... By approaching it in a playful spirit, Mozart reinvents itself at every moment, and it is in this direction, deeply respectful of the essentials, that we are going to work. With this intuition that with Mozart, it is not a question of hiding or modernizing, but of revealing... Peter Brook
