Frivol, feministisch, antikapitalistisch: willkommen zurück auf der Bühne des „heiteren Musiktheaters“ im realexistierenden Sozialismus! Ab den 1950er Jahren war die Staatsoperette eine wichtige künstlerische Heimat für die Operetten-Szene der DDR. Wir begeben uns auf die Spuren vergangener Tage und bringen neben Ausschnitten aus den beliebten Mein Freund Bunbury und Messeschlager Gisela auch vergessene Operettenlieder, Ensembles und Chansons von Komponisten wie Gerd Natschinski, Herbert Kawan und Conny Odd zu Gehör. Zusätzlich unternimmt der Liederabend akustische Ausflüge in die benachbarten ehemaligen „Volksrepubliken“ und präsentiert schrullig-schöne sowie provokativ-gewitzte Raritäten, die einst auf der Bühne der Staatsoperette ihre Uraufführung feierten.

Frivolous, feminist, anti-capitalist: welcome back to the stage of "cheerful music theater" in real socialism! From the 1950s, the state operetta was an important artistic home for the operetta scene in the GDR. We follow in the footsteps of bygone days and, in addition to excerpts from the popular Mein Freund Bunbury and trade fair hit Gisela , we also listen to forgotten operetta songs, ensembles and chansons by composers such as Gerd Natschinski, Herbert Kawan and Conny Odd. In addition, the song recital undertakes acoustic excursions to the neighboring former "People's Republics" and presents quirky-beautiful as well as provocatively-witty rarities that once celebrated their world premiere on the stage of the state operetta.
