Ein deutsches Requiem Brahms

Johannes Brahms created his "German Requiem" as a consolation for the living. Together with
he Rundfunkchor Berlin, Jochen Sandig makes the deeply human message of the Requiem
angible with all the senses and focuses on love that overcomes pain and grief. In the Liederhalle
Stuttgart, a space is created for community and the experience of collective catharsis. The
separation of stage and auditorium has been abolished, and the choir and audience are brought
nto direct contact with one another. In April 2021, the touching staging also connected those
participating in the commemoration ceremony for those who died in the corona pandemic, which
was hosted by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
A production by Rundfunkchor Berlin in cooperation with Sasha Waltz & Guests and
Radialsystem Berlin. Made in radial system.
