Her state of mind is reflected in the dissolution of syntax and tonality. "Strictly in the style of Brahms" meanwhile, Schönberg created his orchestral version of Brahms' Piano Quartet in G minor, in which tradition and novelty form a dialectical unity, while preserving the traditional harmonic structure.
