Next year marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of composer Ludwig van Beethoven . The Oulu Theater celebrates Beethoven with a production that combines experience, youth, world-class singing and dazzling visuals.

Fidelio  is a praise for justice, freedom and love. It tells the true story of a noble woman, Leonore, who goes to prison as an auxiliary boy to free her tortured husband.

Fidelion is directed by  Tuomas Parkkinen , one of the most sought-after and respected opera directors at the moment . The Oulu Symphony is conducted by award-winning violinist-conductor  Huba Hollókői .
