Erwin Schrott - the world-famous bass-baritone from Uruguay, delighting with a fascinating voice and unique, stage personality. One of the leading interpreters of the Don Giovanni part in Mozart's opera. A star of the world's greatest opera houses. The artist will appear on the stage of the Wrocław Opera immediately after his August performance at the legendary Salzburger Festspiele, where he will play the part of Ramfis in Verdi's Aida . With a recital in Wrocław, he will open his rich opera season 2022/2023, in which he will perform, among others, as Dulcamara in Donizetti's Love Drink at Berlin's Staatsoper, Scarpia in ToscaPuccini at Berlin's Deutsche Oper and Hamburg's Staatsoper, and as Banco in Verdi's Macbeth at the Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona.

The program of Erwin Schrott's recital at the Wrocław Opera will include fragments of the most important masterpieces from the artist's repertoire. The famous arias will sound: the so-called Leporella catalog and the so-called Don Giovanni's champagne collection and the famous duo Là ci darem la mano from Mozart's operatic masterpiece. There will also be spectacular fragments from Donizetti's Love Potion (an aria and a duo by Adina and Dulcamara). In the second part of the recital, the artist will present fragments of an almost completely forgotten, romantic opera repertoire - Gounod's Philémon et Baucis and rarely staged, youthfulWillid Puccini. Scenes from such monumental operas as: Vespers of Sicily and Don Carlos by Verdi and Tosco Puccini have also been planned. During the recital, the artist will be accompanied by the soloists: Maria Rozynek-Banaszak (soprano) and Jadwiga Postrożna (mezzo-soprano), as well as the choir and orchestra of the Wrocław Opera, and will be conducted by Bass Akiki.

Na scenie Opery Wrocławskiej artysta pojawi się bezpośrednio po sierpniowym występie na legendarnym Salzburger Festspiele, gdzie wcieli się w partię Ramfisa w Aidzie Verdiego. Recitalem we Wrocławiu otworzy swój bogaty sezon operowy 2022/2023, w którym pojawi się m.in. jako Dulcamara w Napoju miłosnym Donizettiego w berlińskiej Staatsoper, Scarpia w Tosce Pucciniego w berlińskiej Deutsche Oper i hamburskiej Staatsoper, a także jako Banco w Makbecie Verdiego w Teatro del Liceu w Barcelonie.

Program recitalu Erwina Schrotta w Operze Wrocławskiej obejmie fragmenty najważniejszych, mistrzowskich partii z repertuaru artysty. Zabrzmią słynne arie: tzw. katalogowa Leporella i tzw. szampańska Don Giovanniego oraz słynny duet Là ci darem la mano z operowego arcydzieła Mozarta. Pojawią się także popisowe fragmenty z Napoju miłosnego Donizettiego (aria oraz duet Adiny i Dulcamary). W drugiej części recitalu artysta przybliży fragmenty niemal zupełnie zapomnianego, romantycznego repertuaru operowego - Philémon et Baucis Gounoda oraz rzadko wystawianych, młodzieńczych Willid Pucciniego. Zaplanowano także sceny z tak monumentalnych dzieł operowych, jak: Nieszpory sycylijskie i Don Carlos Verdiego oraz Tosca Pucciniego. Artyście podczas recitalu towarzyszyć będą solistki: Maria Rozynek-Banaszak (sopran) i Jadwiga Postrożna (mezzosopran) oraz chór i orkiestra Opery Wrocławskiej, a całością zadyryguje Bassem Akiki.
