Bedřich Smetana on his 200th birthday

Born on March 2, 1824, Bedřich Smetana, who integrated dance music into almost every one of his compositions and was himself a passionate dancer, was serenaded by the Munich Philharmonic under the conductor Gianandrea Noseda, who was in demand worldwide, on the occasion of his 200th birthday with his own works, including the overture to The Bartered Bride and the symphonic poem Die Vltava .
