GIANNI SCHICCHI - Trailer 2

Whoever has the damage does not need to worry about ridicule: the Donati family in Florence was disinherited by their deceased rich uncle. Since nobody has seen the will, it should be re-dictated to the notary without further ado. In return, the city-famous smart guy Gianni Schicchi slips into the role of the decrepit uncle. But Gianni Schicchi only seems to have common cause with the greedy family. In order to secure a future together for his daughter Lauretta and her lover Rinuccio, he awards himself the best pieces from the inheritance. In the end, the deceivers are the deceived, and inheritance goes to those who deserve it most. Giacomo Puccini's famous one-act play, originally part of his premiered in 1918 Trittico , which , conjures up one of the most beautiful comic operas around an episode character from Dante's Divine Comedy . In his only comedy with biting irony and fun with slapstick, Puccini is once again at the height of his time and his art. In the past season Gianni Schicchi realized as a live stream, now the production by Anja Kühnhold comes on stage.
