There are few operettas that fit better into the Pannonian ambience of Lake Neusiedl than Emmerich Kalman's "Gräfin-Mariza". This year, the Mörbisch Lake Festival is enticing with this evergreen. It is staged by the Berlin director Winfried Bauernfeind, who has proved his lucky hand in Mörbisch with, among other things, the "Land of Smiles". The musical direction is in the capable hands of Rudolf Bibl. Rolf Langenfass is again responsible for the stage design.
