Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are known as composers of the »First Viennese School«. But what about their contemporaries Joseph von Eybler and Franz Clement? Reinhard Goebel has made it his task to remind the world of these forgotten composers.

With these jewels from the treasure chest of the past, it is a rich and magnificent panoply. Over the last few decades a number of musicians have unearthed wonderful music that had been long forgotten. Reinhard Goebel is one of these musicians: a great violinist and a pioneer who established the Musica Antiqua Köln in 1973 and who led this ensemble to great success for 33 years. Today he conducts chamber orchestras and symphony orchestras across the globe, arousing the public’s curiosity and expanding the horizons of both musicians and audiences.

Reinhard Goebel ist einer von ihnen, ein Pionier und großer Geiger, der 1973 die Musica antiqua Köln gründete und dieses Ensemble mit sensationellem Erfolg 33 Jahre lang leitete. Heute dirigiert er weltweit Kammerorchester und große Sinfonieorchester; schafft Neugierde und öffnet die Horizonte, bei Musikern wie bei den Hörern!
