Yesterday's I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Prova generale). I'm very looking forward our Premiere on the 18th January with great team including all my lovely soloists, conductor, regie, choir, orchestra and all members of La Scala. Thank you M° Vincenzo Bellini for this wonderful music!!

The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and their love thwarted by their families has inspired countless versions, from opera to cinema. One of the most striking bears the signature of Vincenzo Bellini, the least represented of the bel canto composers. At La Scala I Capuleti ei Montecchi returns in a new production directed by Evelino Pidò which marks the debut of Adrian Noble, director of the Royal Shakespeare Company for thirteen years. The cast deploys some of the Bellini reference voices of our time.
