On April 15th, Theatro São Pedro receives a new version of the most famous love story of all time: Romeo and Juliet! O#NossoTheatrowill be the stage for the opera Os Capuletos e Os Montéquios, by Vicenzo Bellini, with the Orquestra do Theatro São Pedro. Tickets:

It is worth remembering that the opera tells the universally known story of Romeo and Juliet, but from original Italian Renaissance sources, leaving out characters from Shakespeare's play, but keeping, of course, Romeo, leader of the Montagues, and Giulietta Capulet. Want to know another amazing feature of this tragic love story? The role of Romeo was written for a mezzo-soprano, so we will have two singers as protagonists of this story: Denise de Freitas (Romeo) and Carla Cottini (Giulietta). The season takes place on April 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29, ending on May 1, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 pm and Sundays at 5 pm. Tickets start at R$15. The musical direction is Alessandro Sangiorgi, while the scenic direction is by Antonio Araujo. Lighting by Guilherme Bonfanti, dramaturgism by Antonio Duran and Silvia Fernandes, scenography by André Cortez choreography by Cristian Duarte and visagism by Tiça Camargo. Aníbal Mancini (Teobaldo), Douglas Hann (Lorenzo) and Anderson Barbosa (Capelio) complete the cast. In addition, we will also have the participation of the Youth Choir of the State.
