To commemorate the Day of the State (coronation of King Mindaugas of Lithuania) and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania's independence, a concert performance of A. Ponchielli's opera LITHUANIA in the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Rulers! LITHUANIANS is a romantic opera based on a libretto by the famous Italian writer Antonio Ghislanzoni, inspired by Adam Mickiewicz's historical poem Conrad Valenrod. 1874 The La Scala Theater in Milan hosted operas about the 14th century. Lithuanian struggles for the right to be independent, premiere. This opera became a symbol for the Italians of their own struggles for freedom, and the name of Lithuania was inscribed in the chrestomathy of the world's opera literature. 2020 July 6 The Museum of the Royal Palace and the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater invite you to listen to the concert performance of this opera in Lithuanian. Soloists: Sandra Janušaitė, Mickael Spadaccini, Vytautas Juozapaitis, Liudas Norvaišas, Arūnas Malikėnas.
