[TRAILER] LE BARBIER DE SÉVILLE by Gioacchino Rossini

Inspired by the comedy of Beaumarchais, Rossini retains all the ardor to create this bubbling opera buffa. Originally from Venice, cradle of commedia dell'arte, Damiano Michieletto is sensitive to the burlesque vein of Rossinian music. He transposes the action of this “unnecessary precaution” in a contemporary Seville inspired by Almodovar's cinema. The monumental building of Bartolo, tutor of the young Rosina, in which Figaro whirls in free spirit, allows the director to give free rein to his crazy imagination.
