The work of the Swan of Pesaro that has been most performed and that has never left the repertoire, since its debut, is Il barbiere di Siviglia, in which there are arias, duets and ensembles of great value , absolute genius and notoriety. And so, on Thursday 20 December, at 8.30 pm, the Benetton Studi Ricerche Foundation, in collaboration with the Associazione Lirica Trevigiana, and with the artistic direction of Giuseppe Aiello, organizes the Gala Rossini, Il barbiere di Siviglia "in smart formula", with soloists of the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra (Lorenzo Luciani, oboe; Francesco Pellegrini, violin I; Paride Battistoni, violin II; Silvia Vannucci, viola; Luca Bacelli, cello) and singers selected by the direction of the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda" ( Manuel Amati tenor, The count of Almaviva; Giorgia Paci soprano, Rosina; William Hernández baritone, Figaro). The "smart formula" Il barbiere di Siviglia project was created by the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra, an orchestra of the city of Pesaro also based in Fano, which, to commemorate this important anniversary, has prepared an agile and captivating version, with a wide selection of Rossini's masterpiece, musically transcribed and adapted into the text by Noris Borgogelli for a small ensemble, and with the presence of the main characters of the opera. All concentrated in the space of about 80 minutes between the musical numbers of the opera and the reading of the linking texts between one piece and another, with a fast rhythm and a continuous Rossini crescendo. The Barber of Seville, composition taken from the homonymous play by Beaumarchais, is a comic opera in two acts on a libretto by Cesare Sterbini. The original title was Almaviva, or The Useless Precaution. Before Rossini, in 1782, Giovanni Paisiello, one of the greatest representatives of Neapolitan opera, had staged his Barber of Seville which had given him one of the greatest successes of his successful career. The first performance of the Rossini version took place on February 20, 1816 and was a fiasco, redeemed, however, immediately by the success of the replicas. Rossini's work soon ended up obscuring that of Paisiello, becoming one of the most represented and probably the most famous of the Pesaro composer. one of the greatest representatives of the Neapolitan opera, he had staged his Barber of Seville which had given him one of the greatest hits of his successful career. L’opera del Cigno di Pesaro che maggiormente è stata eseguita e che non è mai uscita dal repertorio, fin dal suo debutto, è Il barbiere di Siviglia, all’interno della quale sono presenti arie, duetti e pezzi d’insieme di grande valore, assoluta genialità e notorietà. E così, giovedì 20 dicembre, alle 20.30, la Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche, in collaborazione con l’Associazione Lirica Trevigiana, e con la direzione artistica di Giuseppe Aiello, organizza il Gala Rossini, Il barbiere di Siviglia “in formula smart”, con solisti dell’Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini (Lorenzo Luciani, oboe; Francesco Pellegrini, violino I; Paride Battistoni, violino II; Silvia Vannucci, viola; Luca Bacelli, violoncello) e cantanti selezionati dalla direzione dell’Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” (Manuel Amati tenore, Il conte d’Almaviva; Giorgia Paci soprano, Rosina; William Hernández baritono, Figaro). Il progetto Il barbiere di Siviglia “in formula smart” è stato realizzato dall’Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini, orchestra della città di Pesaro con sede anche a Fano, che, per commemorare questo importante anniversario, ha predisposto una versione agile e accattivante, con un’ampia selezione del capolavoro rossiniano, trascritto musicalmente ed adattato nel testo da Noris Borgogelli per piccolo ensemble, e con la presenza dei personaggi principali dell’opera. Il tutto concentrato nell’arco di circa 80 minuti fra i numeri musicali dell’opera e la lettura dei testi di raccordo fra un brano e l’altro, con un ritmo serrato e un continuo crescendo rossiniano. Il barbiere di Siviglia, composizione tratta dalla commedia omonima di Beaumarchais, è un’opera buffa in due atti su libretto di Cesare Sterbini. Il titolo originale era Almaviva, ossia L’Inutile precauzione. Prima di Rossini, nel 1782, Giovanni Paisiello, uno dei maggiori rappresentanti dell’opera napoletana, aveva messo in scena il suo Barbiere di Siviglia che gli aveva donato uno dei maggiori successi della sua fortunata carriera. La prima rappresentazione della versione rossiniana ebbe luogo il 20 febbraio 1816 e fu un fiasco, riscattato, però, immediatamente dal successo delle repliche. L’opera di Rossini finì ben presto per oscurare quella di Paisiello, divenendo una delle più rappresentate e probabilmente la più famosa del compositore pesarese.
