A staged concert of ancient music, a medieval combat, a combat of emotions, a poetic circle inspired by the compositions of Claudio Monteverdi , who revolutionized music with his particular way of understanding that it had to express the emotional lines of the text.
“Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorind a” premiered in 1624 in Girolamo Mocenigo's Venetian palace and was later published as part of Monteverdi's Eighth Book of Madrigals (1638). In this musical theater play, the dramatic weight falls on the role of the «testo», a tenor who narrates the plot of the warrior and love adventure of the protagonists.

The story allows us to reflect on the nature of love, loss and relationships understood as struggles. These themes are a constant in various madrigals by the composer, little gems that tell us about the mysteries of love, seduction and human relationships.
