With  Jenůfa , the great Czech composer Janáček offered his audience one of the most moving operas in the repertoire. A young girl, her love and her child are sacrificed to the prohibitions of a rural society frozen in its codes. She will however be touched by the grace, whose staging by Nicolas Joel knows how to shed light on the mystery. Under the direction of Austrian conductor Florian Krumpöck, a dazzling cast is assembled, including Angela Denoke in the role of the Sacristine and, in the title role, the French soprano Marie-Adeline Henry.
