El cicle de Lied arranca en gran amb una convidada excepcional com és Joyce DiDonato. En la seua segona visita a Les Arts després del seu aclamat concert amb l'orquestra Il Pomo d’Oro amb un programa dedicat a l'òpera barroca i clàssica, la carismàtica mezzosoprano de Kansas, en plena maduresa vocal, interpreta Winterreise (Viatge d'hivern), acompanyada al piano pel seu compatriota Craig Terry. El cicle de Lieder més bell, intimista i dramàtic de Schubert que la cantant acaba d'incorporar al seu repertori després d'interpretar-lo per primera vegada l'abril passat al Carnegie Hall de Nova York, publicat recentment en CD.

The Lied cycle starts big with an exceptional guest such as Joyce DiDonato. On her second visit to Les Arts after her acclaimed concert with the Il Pomo d'Oro Orchestra with a program dedicated to baroque and classical opera, the charismatic Kansas mezzo-soprano, in full vocal maturity, performs Winterreise ( Journey of 'winter ), accompanied on the piano by her compatriot Craig Terry. Schubert's most beautiful, intimate and dramatic Lieder cycle that the singer has just added to her repertoire after performing it for the first time last April at New York's Carnegie Hall, recently released on CD.
