The Festival falls less than a week after the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams, one of the most significant British composers. Four of our lunchtime concerts will celebrate this milestone with the music of Vaughan Williams and his contemporaries, friends and students, and several other events will complement the recitals.

The concerts are presented in partnership with the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme and broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. The first of these concerts is given by former NGA mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge, with pianist Sholto Kynoch.
