Michaela is in a coma. At her bedside is her family - her husband, her daughter, her sister and her husband, with whom Michaela was having an affair. The family talks to Michaela and plays scenes from her life to her, performs family in front of her sleeping eyes. Whether she will ever wake up again remains to be seen.

What are you, where are you when you are unconscious? What does this mean for relatives? For the memories? For a future? For relationships? Can there still be communication if one person is no longer responsive? And how do family dynamics, already complex family constellations and hierarchies, change when the "queen" is present but mute and no longer able to act? Does it lead to disempowerment or does it remain a fixed star?
