Brüderlichkeit, friedvolle Gemeinschaftlichkeit und die Kraft humanistischer Ideale – Ludwig van Beethovens Sinfonie Nr. 9 mit Friedrich Schillers Ode An die Freude im dramaturgischen Fluchtpunkt beweist fast genau 200 Jahre nach ihrer Entstehung die Dringlichkeit ihrer zeitlosen Botschaft und Utopie. So darf dieses Werk, dessen Finale seit 1972 die Hymne Europas und seit 1985 der Europäischen Gemeinschaft ist, auch zum Jahreswechsel 2022/2023 nicht fehlen, um Gedanken der Hoffnung und Zuversicht in ein neues Jahr zu tragen. Beethovens Meisterwerk wird in der Stadthalle von Martijn Dendievel dirigiert, der erstmals die Robert-Schumann-Philharmonie leiten wird.

Fraternity, peaceful community and the power of humanistic ideals - Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with Friedrich Schiller's Ode to Joy in the dramaturgical vanishing point proves the urgency of its timeless message and utopia almost exactly 200 years after its creation. So this work, whose finale has been the anthem of Europe since 1972 and of the European Community since 1985, should not be missing at the turn of the year 2022/2023 to carry thoughts of hope and confidence into a new year. Beethoven's masterpiece will be conducted in the Stadthalle by Martijn Dendievel, who will conduct the Robert Schumann Philharmonic for the first time.
