Puccini’s La Bohème is a romantic opera will be performed on 22 and 24 May. It tells the story of a group of young artists living the bohemian lifestyle; a non-traditional lifestyle often expressed through voluntary poverty. Tenor Stéfan Louw will be portraying the role of the poet Rodolfo who falls in love with the seamstress Mimi, played by soprano Natalie Dickson Bath. Baritone Aubrey Lodewyk will be singing the role of their painter-friend Marcello and his former sweetheart, Musetta, will be portrayed by soprano Maudee Monteirre. Other cast members include Otto Maidi as Colline, Christopher Vale as Schaunard and Chris Mostert as Parpignol.
