The music of "La Bohème" is characterized by its richness and complexity, with a wide variety of styles and emotions combining to create an emotionally powerful musical experience. The score of this opera is one of the most emotional and lyrical in the operatic repertoire. The musical proposal focuses on intimacy in front of the voices of the protagonists who narrate the story of the bohemian artists. La música de «La Bohème» se caracteriza por su riqueza y complejidad, con una amplia variedad de estilos y emociones que se combinan para crear una experiencia musical emocionalmente poderosa. De estructura típicamente italiana, utiliza los leitmotivs, melodías recurrentes asociadas con ciertos personajes o situaciones, para contar la historia y expresar las emociones de los personajes 

La partitura de esta ópera es una de las más emotivas y líricas del repertorio operístico. El Maestro Puccini tenía la habilidad innata de transmitir las emociones de los personajes a través de su música, y esto se hace evidente en los momentos más íntimos de la ópera, verdaderamente conmovedores y que reflejan la esencia del espíritu bohemio. 

La propuesta musical se centra en el intimismo frente a las voces de los protagonistas que van narrando la historia de los artistas bohemios. Su trama habla de amistades y amor, alejados de solemnidades y extremas pasiones. Esa intimidad y sencillez es la que se busca en una propuesta musical que evita las sonoridades extremas, brindando a las voces el espacio para desarrollar los matices que permitan narrar la historia. 

La ubicación de la orquesta hace que cobre gran protagonismo, con su colocación en escena, otorgándole la capacidad de crear el marco idóneo con el que poder arropar a las voces.
