A castle object of all desires, a ghost, a courageous orphan, a valiant but amnesiac soldier, lost children, twists and turns... And above all a mysterious White Lady whose appearance is as much desired as it is feared. This opera with its sparkling score is a wonderful playground for the artists brought together by La co[opéra]tive.
Presentation
Straddling comic opera and romantic opera, La Dame blanche is both a great popular fresco and an initiation novel. She thrilled Rossini, Wagner, Weber and even inspired Hergé. By transposing this work into an animal world, Louise Vignaud immerses the story in the world of storytelling with a most delightful address to the spectators. The orchestra Les Siècles, under the direction of Nicolas Simon, admirably serves this dense and light music, with instrumental colors as varied as they are fascinating.
