É strano...Sempre. Libera (La Traviata) / Teatro Campoamor (Oviedo)

En el mes de diciembre subirá al escenario del Campoamor uno de los títulos más famosos y representados de la historia de la ópera: La traviata de Giuseppe Verdi. Esta ópera forma parte de la trilogía popular junto con Il trovatore y Rigoletto. El libreto basado en la obra La dame aux camélias (1852) de Alejandro Dumas hijo, nos narra la historia de amor basada en las propias vivencias del dramaturgo con la prostituta Alphonsine Duplesis. Violetta Valéry, la protagonista de la ópera, sufre las consecuencias de una sociedad hipócrita y brutal que la destruye.

El montaje de este título es una producción de la Ópera de Oviedo y del Festival Castell de Peralada. Conforman el reparto en sus principales papeles la soprano ruso-ucraniana Ekaterina Bakanova, el joven tenor mexicano Leonardo Sánchez y el barítono español Juan Jesús Rodríguez. Al frente de Oviedo Filarmonía estará el maestro asturiano Óliver Díaz, y en el apartado escénico, Paco Azorín nos ofrecerá una nueva visión del mito bajo una mirada feminista, convirtiendo esta Traviata en un canto de amor y libertad tan necesario en nuestros días en palabras del director de escena. Completa la producción el Coro de la Ópera de Oviedo dirigido por Pablo Moras.

In the month of December, one of the most famous and performed titles in the history of opera will take the Campoamor stage: La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. This opera is part of the popular trilogy along with Il trovatore and Rigoletto . The libretto based on the play La dame aux camélias (1852) by Alexandre Dumas Jr., tells us the love story based on the playwright's own experiences with the prostitute Alphonsine Duplesis. Violetta Valéry, the protagonist of the opera, suffers the consequences of a hypocritical and brutal society that destroys her.

The staging of this title is a production of the Oviedo Opera and the Castell de Peralada Festival. The cast in their main roles is made up of the Russian-Ukrainian soprano Ekaterina Bakanova, the young Mexican tenor Leonardo Sánchez and the Spanish baritone Juan Jesús Rodríguez. Oviedo Filarmonía will be led by the Asturian maestro Óliver Díaz, and in the stage section, Paco Azorín will offer us a new vision of the myth from a feminist perspective, turning this Traviata into a song of love and freedom so necessary today in the words of the stage manager. The production is completed by the Oviedo Opera Choir directed by Pablo Moras.
