Dejan Gavric und Silke Aichhorn spielen seit 2002 im Duo und gaben Konzerte u.a. beim Rheingau Musikfestival, beim Bodenseefestival oder den Moselfestwochen. Die als Solistin wie Kammermusikerin konzertierende Silke Aichhorn gehört zu den gefragtesten und vielseitigsten Harfenistinnen in Europa. Ihre Ausbildung erhielt sie in Lausanne und Köln, sie ist mehrfache Preisträgerin internationaler Wettbewerbe sowie mehrerer Kulturpreise. Dejan Gavric, geboren in Belgrad, studierte als Stipendiat an der Folkwang-Hochschule Essen bei Matthias Rütters und war Solo-Flötist der Philharmonie Essen, der Neuen Philharmonie Westfalen und des Grazer Philharmonischen Orchesters. Heute ist er Professor für Flöte und Kammermusik an der Musikhochschule in Mainz.

Das Orchester l’arte del mondo sieht sich in der Tradition der so genannten Alten Musik. Diese ist der Ausgangspunkt des Ensembles, welches sich aber genauso der Arbeit auf modernen Instrumenten und einem vielfältigen Repertoire bis zur Romantik und Moderne verschrieben hat. Schon bald nach der Gründung folgten Einladungen zu renommierten Festivals und Konzertreihen wie den Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspielen, dem Bonner Beethovenfest, den Musikfestspielen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, dem Rheingau Musikfestival oder der Cité de la Musique in Paris. Heute ist l’arte del mondo als Residenzorchester regelmäßig zu Gast in der Bagno Konzertgalerie.

Der aus Köln stammende Geiger und Dirigent Werner Ehrhardt ist als Orchesterleiter beständig vertreten auf internationalen Bühnen. Zwanzig Jahre leitete Ehrhardt das weltweit renommierte Kammerorchester „Concerto Köln“, bis er 2004 das Orchester l’arte del mondo gründete.

Dejan Gavric and Silke Aichhorn have been playing as a duo since 2002 and have given concerts at the Rheingau Music Festival, the Lake Constance Festival and the Moselle Festival Weeks, among others. Silke Aichhorn, who performs as a soloist and chamber musician, is one of the most sought-after and versatile harpists in Europe. She received her training in Lausanne and Cologne and is a multiple winner of international competitions and several cultural awards. Dejan Gavric, born in Belgrade, studied on a scholarship at the Folkwang University in Essen with Matthias Rütters and was principal flutist of the Philharmonic Essen, the New Philharmonic Westphalia and the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra. Today he is a professor of flute and chamber music at the University of Music in Mainz.

The l'arte del mondo orchestra sees itself in the tradition of so-called early music. This is the starting point of the ensemble, which is also dedicated to working on modern instruments and a diverse repertoire ranging from romanticism and modernity. Soon after the company was founded, invitations to renowned festivals and concert series such as the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival, the Bonn Beethoven Festival, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Music Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival and the Cité de la Musique in Paris followed. Today, l'arte del mondo is a regular guest at the Bagno Concert Gallery as a resident orchestra.

The Cologne-born violinist and conductor Werner Ehrhardt is a constant presence on international stages as an orchestra leader. Ehrhardt led the world-renowned chamber orchestra “Concerto Köln” for twenty years until he founded the orchestra l'arte del mondo in 2004.
