The Marriage of Figaro is a four-act opera buffa with music written by Mozart. The libretto for it, based on a play by Pierre Beaumarchais from 1784, was created by Lorenzo da Ponte.

The wedding of Figaro is a continuation of the fate of the barber, who later became the administrator of the goods of his master - Count Almaviva. Once he helped him get a wife - beautiful Rosina. However, three years were enough for the Count's ardent feeling to turn into a catalog of routine smiles and cordiality. The bored aristocrat already longs for "new emotions". He looks with hope at the beautiful Susanna - his wife's maid, and at the same time the official fiancée of Figaro. This one, however, does not intend to share it with anyone. So he devises a plot to frustrate his master's intentions.

For the modern reader and viewer, The Marriage of Figaro is a well-written comedy. The more pleasant to listen to as it is told with the brilliant music of Mozart.

Wesele Figara to czteroaktowa opera buffa z muzyką napisaną przez Mozarta. Libretto do niej na podstawie sztuki Pierre'a Beaumarchais'go z 1784 roku stworzył Lorenzo da Ponte.

Wesele Figara to kontynuacja losów golibrody, który z czasem został zarządcą dóbr swego pana - Hrabiego Almavivy. Niegdyś pomógł mu zdobyć żonę - piękną Rozynę. Wystarczyły jednak trzy lata, by gorące uczucie Hrabiego zamieniło się w katalog rutynowych uśmiechów i serdeczności. Znudzony arystokrata tęskni już za "nowymi emocjami". Z nadzieją patrzy na urodziwą Zuzannę - pokojówkę swojej żony, a zarazem oficjalną narzeczoną Figara. Ten nie zamierza się jednak nią z nikim dzielić. Obmyśla więc intrygę, która ma udaremnić zamiary jego pana.

Dla współczesnego czytelnika i widza Wesele Figara to świetnie napisana komedia. Tym bardziej przyjemna w odbiorze, że opowiedziana genialną muzyką Mozarta.
