The director-producer's debut on the opera stage, the newest musical edition of the opera, the return of the forgotten title to the poster - the premiere at the Bolshoi! December 10 at the Chamber Stage. B.A. Pokrovsky, the premiere performance of the opera “Pearl Seekers” took place, it was staged at the Bolshoi Theater only once - at the beginning of the last century. The current premiere, staged and set by one of the leading young directors on the modern stage, Vladislavs Nastavshevs, returns the forgotten name to the Bolshoi's poster. Vladislavs Nastavshevs: - The language of gesture is of great importance in the performance. Each stingy movement is endowed with a special meaning, turning the head is an event. The choreography is based on a synchronous, formal drawing, while color and light, their correlation and interaction set mood changes. Through such a limitation, minimalism, close to performativity, we strive for greater freedom of expression. Our goal is not to illustrate the events, but to enable the viewer to imagine this story, having dived into himself. I hope that we all have a rather interesting journey. Nastavševs is working on his first opera performance in collaboration with costume designer Yelisey Kostsov, the stage director of the performance is Alexei Vereshchagin. On December 10, Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Stage hosted the premiere of “Les pêcheurs de perles” opera, which was staged at The Bolshoi once in 1903. The forthcoming premiere on the Chamber Stage will not only bring the forgotten name back but also present the latest musical version.
