Theodore Dubois’ – “The Last Seven Words of Christ” 20 March, 2022 – Xaghra Basilica

Chorus Urbanus Productions proudly announce the upcoming performance of Theodore Dubois’ choral masterpiece – The Last Seven Words of Christ at Xagħra Basilica on Sunday 20 March at 7.30 pm. The concert features Yvonne Galea (Soprano), Stanley Joe Portelli (Tenor), Louis Cassar (Baritone), Chorus Urbanus, narrators and a string ensemble conducted by Dr John Galea. This Dubois work emerges indeed as a profound meditation during this Lenten period.

We are so looking forward to perform live again during the highly evocative Lenten period. This sacred music concert has the generous support of  the Cultural Heritage Directorate, the Ministry for Gozo, the Xagħra Local Council and Citadel Video Communications.
