Cette double production est un diptyque aux émotions contrastées. En fil rouge, le parcours d’une femme au travers de deux rôles interprétés par la mezzo-soprano Sophie Marilley.

D’abord tourné vers l’introspection et le doute, la Voix humaine est une tragédie lyrique de Francis Poulenc narrant l’ultime conversation téléphonique d’une femme avec son amant, tantôt tendre et passionnelle, tantôt désespérée et colérique. La seconde œuvre fait basculer le drame dans la comédie. L’Heure espagnole de Maurice Ravel inverse l’équilibre des forces puisque désormais, la protagoniste réussira à affirmer sa personnalité et son indépendance sur fond de sonorités joyeuses et hispanisantes.

This double production is a diptych of contrasting emotions. In common thread, the journey of a woman through two roles interpreted by the mezzo-soprano Sophie Marilley.

First turned towards introspection and doubt, La Voix humaine is a lyrical tragedy by Francis Poulenc narrating the last telephone conversation of a woman with her lover, sometimes tender and passionate, sometimes desperate and angry. The second work shifts drama into comedy. Maurice Ravel's Spanish Hour reverses the balance of forces since now the protagonist will succeed in asserting her personality and her independence against a backdrop of joyful and Hispanic sounds.
