1607 legte Monteverdi in Mantua einem göttlich singenden Tenor die Liebesklagen des Orpheus in den Mund und seinem Orchester die ganze Macht der Töne, um den Tod zu überwinden. Im „Orfeo“ der Styriarte symbolisiert Sand das Reich der Schatten, wo es keine Farben mehr gibt. In bewegten Bildern bannt die Sandkünstlerin Natalia Moro den Mythos auf die Leinwand. Dazu singen hinreißend schöne Barockstimmen die Arien und Chöre von Monteverdis Meisterwerk. Michael Hell lenkt als Dirigent und Cembalist sein farbenprächtiges ĀRT HOUSE-Orchester.

In 1607, in Mantua, Monteverdi put the love laments of Orpheus into the mouth of a divinely singing tenor and gave his orchestra the full power of sound to overcome death. In “Orfeo” by Styriarte, sand symbolizes the realm of shadows, where there are no more colors. The sand artist Natalia Moro captures the myth on canvas in moving images. In addition, ravishingly beautiful baroque voices sing the arias and choirs of Monteverdi's masterpiece. Michael Hell leads his colorful ĀRT HOUSE orchestra as conductor and harpsichordist.
