This season the theater presents Donizetti 's Lucia di Lammermoor in a production that was born in Modena together with the Galli Theater of Rimini. The title continues as part of the celebrations dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti which aim to stage the works interpreted by the tenor in order of debut. After La bohème , Rigoletto and La traviata on the billboard protagonists in the last two seasons, with Lucia di Lammermoor we reach the fourth opera debuted by Pavarotti and sung for the first time in January 1963.
In the main roles of internationally renowned artists such as Gilda Fiume who sang the role of Lucia at the San Carlo in Naples, at the Zurich Opera and at the Lirico in Cagliari, and Giorgio Berrugi, who will be a guest in the 2021/22 season at May Musicale Fiorentino and at the Monte-Carlo Opera with Il corsaro. Directed by Stefano Vizioli, already appreciated in Modena for the staging of Werther by Massenet (2021).
