Publicul din Sala Operei Brașov rămâne un binemeritat „răsfățat” al muzicii bune. După Mozart: „Nunta lui Figaro” și „Cosi Fan Tutte” jucate cu casa închisă (ca de altfel toate spectacolele din ultimele luni), urmează această capodoperă a romantismului italian, „Lucia di Lammermoor”.
Acțiunea se petrece în Scoția, la sfârșit de secol XVI, libretul după romanul „Mireasa lui Lammermoor” de Walter Scott.
Premiera operei a avut loc în 1835 la Neapole. Premiera la Opera Brașov, în 2006, iar distribuția din seara lui 14 martie 2014, una de excepție:

The audience in the Brașov Opera Hall remains a well-deserved "pampered" of good music. After Mozart: "Figaro's Wedding" and "Cosi Fan Tutte" played behind closed doors (like all the shows of recent months), follows this masterpiece of Italian romance, "Lucia di Lammermoor".
The action takes place in Scotland, at the end of the 16th century, the libretto after the novel "The Bride of Lammermoor" by Walter Scott.
The premiere of the opera took place in 1835 in Naples. Premiere at the Brașov Opera, in 2006, and the distribution on the evening of March 14, 2014, an exceptional one:
