Opera "Marriage" based on the comedy of the same name by N.V. Gogol is one of the most significant works of the outstanding Russian composer A.T. Grechaninov. It was created in 1946, but was performed only twice, abroad.In the year of the 200th anniversary of Gogol, "an absolutely incredible event" (the author's definition of the genre "Marriages") was first performed on the Russian stage of the Children's Musical Theatre. The composer carefully preserved both the text of the comedy and the story of the touching Agafya Tikhonovna and her unlucky suitors. The brightness of the characters, the dynamism of the plot, the unsurpassed Gogolian language, and, of course, the inspired performance by the theater soloists make the performance especially interesting for teenagers and young people.

Опера «Женитьба» по одноименной комедии Н.В. Гоголя – одно из самых значительных сочинений выдающегося русского композитора А.Т. Гречанинова. Она была создана в 1946 году, но исполнялась лишь дважды, за рубежом. В год 200-летия Гоголя «совершенно невероятное событие» (авторское определение жанра «Женитьбы») впервые прозвучало на российской сцене Детского музыкального театра. Композитор бережно сохранил и текст комедии, и историю трогательной Агафьи Тихоновны и незадачливых ее женихов. Яркость характеров, динамизм сюжета, непревзойденный гоголевский язык, и, конечно, вдохновенное исполнение солистами театра делают спектакль особенно интересным для подростков и молодежи.
