"Mein Traum": the concert orchestrated by Raphaël Pichon for his ensemble Pygmalion and the baritone Stéphane Degout takes as its title the name of one of the rare texts left by Schubert, a strange fantasy narration in which the affectivity of the composer.

If the destinies that presided over the creation of Pygmalion in 2006 by Raphaël Pichon were undoubtedly baroque, the ensemble has opened up more and more in recent years to romantic music, in particular Germanic. After "Le fil d'Ariane", given in April 2022, which put Mendelssohn, Brahms or Wagner in the spotlight, "Mein Traum" focuses on the music of Schubert. Raphaël Pichon conducts the Eighth Symphony , the most famous “unfinished” of the symphonic repertoire, only two movements of which were completed by a Schubert who was at the height of his inspiration. Stéphane Degout joins the musicians for vocal pieces: songs and excerpts from operas by Schubert, of course, but also by Schumann and Weber.
