New to the Frankfurt Opera ensemble since the beginning of the season, the Slovenian baritone Domen Križaj has made a good introduction to the roles of Albert (»Werther«) and Lescaut (»Manon Lescaut«). He sang a recital last season. Now he is presenting himself again with the piano accompaniment of Felice Venanzoni together with the Slovenian soprano Mojca Bitenc: The two sing arias and duets from Mozart to Tchaikovsky in a live stream from the Frankfurt Opera. The two young singers can be seen as the unhappy couple Nedda-Silvio from Leoncavallo's »Pagliacci« – and they are a couple in real life too. We are opening a small series with this: further singer couples can be experienced as part of live streamed performances and thus send a strong sign of life, while the Frankfurt Opera has to close its doors again in November due to the corona measures imposed. The Slovenian baritone Domen Križaj started his first season as a member of the ensemble off by singing Albert (Werther) and Lescaut (Manon Lescaut). Here's a chance to hear him again with the soprano Mojca Bitenc - Livestream, from Oper Frankfurt, singing arias and duets from Mozart - Tchaikovsky and the doomed couple Nedda & Silvio from Leoncavallo's Pagliacci  – they are married in real life! We hope to arrange more of these livestreams for you while the theatre is shut in November.
