Can we imagine associating Marin Marais, a baroque violist who entered the court of Louis XIV, and Cora Vaucaire, alias 'la Dame blanche de Saint-Germain des Près', who sang the International during a strike in the 20th century? ? Yes. And has been for a long time. During the Roaring Twenties, when musicologists rediscovered Baroque works, certain tunes blended into popular music. Today, Vincent Dumestre, founder of the Poème harmonique ensemble, and the flamboyant mezzo Stéphanie d'Oustrac have concocted a romantic repertoire that once again breaks free from chronological boundaries and offers a unique show of mirroring as well as tribute.

Peut-on imaginer associer Marin Marais, violiste baroque ayant ses entrées à la cour de Louis XIV, et Cora Vaucaire, alias 'la Dame blanche de Saint-Germain des Près', qui a chanté l’Internationale en temps de grève au XXe siècle ? Oui. Et ce depuis longtemps. Durant les années folles, quand les musicologues redécouvraient les oeuvres baroques, certains airs venaient se fondre dans la musique populaire. Aujourd’hui, Vincent Dumestre, fondateur de l’ensemble du Poème harmonique, et la flamboyante mezzo Stéphanie d’Oustrac ont concocté un répertoire amoureux s’affranchissant à nouveau des frontières chronologiques et proposent un spectacle unique de mise en miroir ainsi que d’hommage.
