Nie hat Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gewaltigere Chöre geschrieben als in seiner c-Moll-Messe. Jordi Savall und der Arnold Schoenberg Chor kosten die Macht der Musik in jeder leidenden Dissonanz aus, in wuchtigen Chorblöcken und riesigen Fugen. Die vier Solist:innen brillieren im heiligen Belcanto, das Styriarte Festspiel-Orchester hüllt den Gesang in die Weihrauch-Wolken des Originalklangs. Eine Votiv-Messe sollte sie sein, die große Messe, die nie fertig wurde. In Stainz wird sie durch Jordi Savall zum großen Gebet.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart never wrote more powerful choruses than in his C minor Mass. Jordi Savall and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir savor the power of music in every suffering dissonance, in massive choral blocks and huge fugues. The four soloists shine in the sacred bel canto, the Styriarte Festival Orchestra wraps the singing in the incense clouds of the original sound. It was supposed to be a votive mass, the big mass that was never finished. In Stainz, Jordi Savall makes it a big prayer.
