Franz Schubert 's Die Schöne Müllerin is undoubtedly one of the best-known and most-performed song cycles in music history. However, the tragic love story of the singing miller's boy cannot be heard often enough, especially when it is interpreted by such great artists as Julian Prégardien and Kristian Bezuidenhout.
