New production World famous German composer, spiritual heir of the great Hans Werner Henze, winner of the 1995 Rolf Liebermann Prize for his opera Der Spiegel des großen Kaisers , Detlev Glanert enters — through the creation of this chamber opera — into the intimacy of WaslaW Nijinsky . This dancer and choreographer, an extraordinary figure of the Ballets Russes, having swung the history of dance into contemporaneity, but devoured by madness, kept a moving diary throughout his life. Glanert, accompanied by the attentive baton of Darell Ang and the sensitive staging of Carolyn Sittig , unveils its darkest and brightest corners.

Ce danseur et chorégraphe, figure extraordinaire des Ballets Russes, ayant fait basculer l’histoire de la danse dans la contemporanéité, mais dévoré par la folie, a tenu, au fil de sa vie, un bouleversant journal. Glanert, accompagné de la baguette attentive de Darell Ang et de la mise en scène sensible de Carolyn Sittig, en dévoile les recoins les plus sombres et les plus lumineux.
