This Nobel Week of 2022 was as shimmering as it should be! A highlight, apart from the Nobel Prize Ceremony, is the Nobel Prize Concert. This time with German opera star Diana Damrau, admired on opera stages such as the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan in New York and La Scala in Milan. With the Nobel Prize Concert, she finally made her debut at Konserthuset Stockholm singing arias by Mozart. 

Mozart and the First Viennese School are of course specialities for Austrian conductor Manfred Honeck, who led the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. In recent years, Honeck has also built a close relationship with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. He is music director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and also conducts many more of the world’s most prestigious orchestras. He is a familiar name to many in Sweden after serving as chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra for years.

The Nobel Prize Concert is an annual event of the highest international standard. The concert is part of the official programme during Nobel Week and is a tribute to the year’s Nobel Prize recipients. In addition to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, elite musicians and conductors also participate each year.

This year’s Nobel Week is as shimmering as it should be! The Nobel Prize Ceremony on 10 December comes home to Konserthuset Stockholm, and of course, another highlight is the Nobel Prize Concert. This year includes a performance from German opera star Diana Damrau, admired on opera stages such as the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan in New York and La Scala in Milan. With the Nobel Prize Concert, she now finally makes her debut at Konserthuset Stockholm and sings arias by Mozart.

Årets Nobelvecka blir precis så glansfull som den bör vara! Prisceremonin den 10 december kommer hem till Konserthuset Stockholm, och en annan höjdpunkt är förstås Nobel Prize Concert. I år gästar den tyska operastjärnan Diana Damrau, beundrad på operascener som Wiener Staatsoper, Metropolitan i New York och La scala i Milano. Med Nobel Prize Concert gör hon nu äntligen sin debut i Konserthuset Stockholm och sjunger Mozartarior. 

Just Mozart och wienklassicism är förstås en specialitet även för den österrikiske dirigenten Manfred Honeck, som leder Kungliga Filharmonikerna. Honeck har under senare år byggt en nära relation med Kungliga Filharmonikerna. Han är chef för Pittsburghs symfoniker, men dirigerar också många andra av världens mest prestigefyllda orkestrar. Han är för många i Sverige ett välkänt namn efter åren som chefdirigent för Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester.

Nobel Prize Concert är en årligen återkommande konsert av absolut högsta internationella klass. Konserten ingår i det officiella programmet under Nobelveckan och är en hyllning till årets Nobelpristagare. Utöver Kungliga Filharmonikerna medverkar varje år artister och dirigenter ur den yppersta eliten.
